Housing
日博体育 Dublin offers housing in apartments located鈥痠n student residence communities. All housing options are in lively districts with multiple dining options, convenient public transport, and within a 30-minute walk to central Dublin.
Standard Housing: Includes a private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a dedicated study space, and ample storage in an apartment suite shared with up to seven other students. All students share common spaces, a kitchen, and laundry facilities. Apartments are located under 45 minutes from 日博体育 Dublin by public transport.
Select Housing: Includes a private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a dedicated study space, and ample storage in an apartment suite shared with up to seven other students. All students share common spaces, a kitchen, and laundry facilities. Apartments are located under 20 minutes from 日博体育 Dublin by public transport. Select housing requires an additional fee.
A note: The default criterion to assign housing is first-come, first-served; however, other factors may also be considered. If we cannot accommodate your first housing choice, we'll let you know before you arrive. Non-standard housing options require an additional fee that can be found in the program Dates and Fees.
Meals
Students can prepare their own meals in the full kitchen. 日博体育 provides basic cooking utensils and cleaning supplies. Students can also explore the myriad of restaurants in our multicultural neighborhood鈥痮r throughout the city.
Academics
日博体育 Dublin: Study in the heart of Dublin鈥檚 lively south central district, five minutes from the River Liffey and Merrion Square. 日博体育 Dublin features three classrooms and a student lounge and is conveniently near a mix of independent caf茅s, bakeries, and stores.
Dublin City University (DCU)鈥was established in the early 1980s and hosts 16,000 students, more than 20% of whom are international. Its multidisciplinary programs stimulate entrepreneurial awareness and activity through strong links with Dublin-based and international businesses. DCU features a modern campus located on more than 80 acres just north of the city with central green areas, caf茅s, a theater, library, bookstore, banking facilities, and an active student union. Classes are held on the Glasnevin, St Patrick鈥檚, and All Hallows campuses and taught by DCU faculty.
Course Information
- Not all Host Institution courses (known as 鈥榤odules鈥 in Ireland) are available to study abroad students. Course registration is finalized on-site. Class timetables are only available on arrival, during orientation week, however the Irish academic system allows for flexibility in the final registration window for international students.
- You can only choose Host Institution courses from one discipline (called 鈥渟tream鈥 in Ireland). You may not mix disciplines/鈥渟treams.鈥

Within the areas below, students have course options (courses are called 鈥渕odules鈥 in Ireland). Availability is based on course schedule, subject level, and limitations of resources, and all choices are dependent on approval from the sending university.
