Your �ղ�� Summer Global Internship program in Prague lasts 8 weeks and features two key components: a full-time internship with an international organization (approximately 30-40 hours per week) and an internship seminar. Housing

�ղ�� Prague offers diverse housing options to ensure you're comfortable in your home away from home. All housing options are located in neighborhoods with convenient access to public transportation, shops, cafés, and eateries.

Standard Housing: Includes double or triple accommodation in a dorm-style residence hall located within 40 minutes from Prague’s historic city center and �ղ�� Prague.

Residence Halls: Live in a dormitory-like building with communal kitchens and other common spaces.

Select Housing: Includes a double bedroom in a shared apartment located within 40 minutes from Prague’s historic center and �ղ�� Prague. Each apartment has shared common spaces, including a kitchen and bathroom. Apartments may be in student residence buildings or in residential buildings shared with local inhabitants. Select housing requires an additional fee.

Select Plus Housing: Includes a single bedroom in an apartment or dorm-style residence hall located within 40 minutes from Prague’s historic city center and �ղ�� Prague. Select Plus housing requires an additional fee and has limited availability.

A note: The default criterion to assign housing is first-come, first-served; however, other factors may also be considered. If we cannot accommodate your first housing choice, we'll let you know before you arrive.

Residence Halls and Apartments: Meals are not included; kitchens are available on-site.

Commute time from housing location to internship will vary depending on location of the internship provider.

�ղ�� Prague: Study in the Vyšehrad neighborhood of Prague, situated in a beautiful park-like setting only 15 minutes from the city's famous Old Town Square. �ղ�� Prague features 10 classrooms, a student lounge, a student life office, a library, a study space, a café, and an outdoor space.

Requirements

All Global Summer Internship participants take the 6-credit full-time internship with the required embedded internship seminar.

Program Credit

Total credit: 6 U.S. semester/9 quarter credits

Course Credit

Internship: 6 U.S. semester/9 quarter credits; 15 integrated academic course hours, 225-300 internship placement hours

Academic Culture

Students are expected to dress and behave professionally throughout their internship project and are subject to the agreed-upon internship protocols arranged by �ղ�� and the host organizations. The academic course is designed to prepare students for leadership in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse workforce. 

Class Format

Students participate in an eight-week �ղ�� full-time internship and academic course taught in an online learning environment. Class and/or work hours may be scheduled Monday-Friday, and attendance is strictly enforced for all. To avoid falling behind, students should not plan personal travel away from the city when classes are in session. 

Grading

Students will be assessed via assignments and activities related to the academic course, including but not limited to: online discussion forums, reflective papers, individual or group presentations, analysis of readings, an internship work plan, and feedback from the internship supervisor. Internship supervisors and students each provide written evaluations of progress toward goals.
